I use the marina shop regularly. The meat quality is great and the drive to get there is worthwhile

Great Haywood village is a lovely place to stop and moor on your narrowboat but CRT should be reminding roving traders exactly what a two day mooring means. We have a mooring in Great Haywood Marina and have realised that a large gathering of so say trading boats take all the moorings just about every weekend in the spring and summer months, they then regularly overstay some of them for as much as two weeks on supposed two day moorings. They are stopping hire boats and other moorers from stopping and spending money and must be having an effect on business's in the local area. They go to great lengths to say they’re not having a floating trading market and therefore feel able to justify their selfish behaviour.

Rude and condescending sales staff! Never had an attitude like this from the many other’s we’ve visited. Reminded me of the scene when she goes shopping in Pretty Woman. No problem, we’ll just take our money (for a boat and mooring) elsewhere. Marina accessed through a busy shopping cafe facility. Road noise was the loudest of all the marina’s we’d visited. Don’t bother.

Fiona and the marina manager (not sure of his name, sorry) we’re absolutely brilliant and welcoming today!!!
I required some electric to use my washing machine, a pump out & some coal. After emailing Fiona, we arrived today and was very happy with how much they helped us out. Couldn’t asked for any more!!!
Thank you very much. 5*

Lovely place to walk the dogs. Nice canal walks plus Sudborough Hall walks. Highlight of the journey was the Oatcake Boat moored by the bridge, bacon and sausage oatcake went down a treat plus mince pie. Well worth a visit.

One of the best marinas I have used over the past four years. Friendly and helpful with an excellent boatyard adjacent.
