BEWARE ALL POTENTIAL FREEDOM CARAVANERS THINKING OF PURCHASING AIR AWNINGS. Freedom Caravans have always provided a good service most of the time BUT after my experience of using a new Air Awning, NO EXCEPTION will be made if you brake any of the warranty rules..even if you are in dire trouble and you try to do the right thing. After two and a half days our awning collapsed with storms promised next day. It was a Saturday and after doing the right thing by ringing Freedom Caravans for advice as per WARRANTY they did not answer because they had all gone home early because it was quiet. (Not my fault) So I tried to do a quick repair..yes braking the warranty but I had to do something because I could get no help. Cutting a long story short I have been charged nearly £400.00 for the repair and refunded for the rest. These awnings are not cheap and more worryingly no one can give a reason why it happened. I am 70 years old and am not seeking any sympathy, only understanding given the circumstances.. but to simply to tell you to be AWARE BECAUSE UNTIL IT HAPPENS TO YOU... THE HASSLE YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH IS SIMPLY NOT WORTH IT. Thank you for your time in reading this. ( Pics Attached ) 1 Share

Freedom Caravans Stafford - Absolutely appalling after sales service !! Upon picking up our new Freedom caravan end June 2023, the expert Freedom Caravan staff at Stafford struggled for over half hour to get the main 13 pin lead from the car to the caravan to connect properly and function so that all lights etc from the car worked correctly. They declared that some of the pins were bent and needed straightening and, after over 4 hours of being with them with them going through all the caravan features, we had had enough and wanted to get away. With hindsight, we should have insisted there and then that the plug on the caravan was changed as it was obviously faulty, but we trusted it would be OK from that point forward. Next time we wanted to go away with the caravan we also struggled to get it to work ourselves, and after an hour + of trying, tried all sorts and undid the housing to see / fix whatever was loose / not connected correctly. We rung Freedom Caravans Stafford, and with their help, got main functions (brake lights / indicators working) but not all functions. They agreed on the phone that they would replace it, but said if we got it to them (at Stafford, we are in Matlock). When we asked how we could get it there legally if it didn’t work, they hung up without answering. We decided we needed to get the plug changed and paid a caravan engineer £60 to replace it at our address. We wrote to Freedom Caravans Stafford sending the invoice for £60 and after spending over £21K on the caravan and having their assurance on the phone that they would replace it, expected it not to be an issue and to be honoured and paid as a warranty claim. After no reply after a few weeks we emailed the letter and asked for a reply. A few weeks later after no reply again, we rang, and was told they would not pay for the replacement, as, they claimed we had broken it by taking it apart, except, of course, they would be no need to take it apart if it functioned correctly. Also their experts had struggled to get it to work and it was obviously faulty. After pointing this out and saying we weren’t happy after spending £21K on the caravan that they wouldn’t replace a faulty mains lead under warranty, they hung up. We rang back but they wouldn’t answer the phone to us further and we have had no response to letters (we wrote again after this call). We will not return to Freedom Caravans Stafford with any further business, wish we had gone elsewhere with our business, will not recommend them to anyone and are appalled that what should be a straightforward warranty claim for a faulty part is not honoured after spending a substantial amount of money with them.

Fantastic company and caravans! We ordered our 2020 Sunseeker Flare at the 2019 NEC after viewing at Stafford a few times. There was absolutely no pressure at any time, we experienced a professional, friendly and helpful approach throughout. Handover was perfect, everything was explained thoroughly, all our questions answered and we were shown that water, gas etc was working which didn't happen with our previous caravan. Now we come to the after sales which to us is the most important part and we have to say that it has been the best we've ever experienced. Jim Kerr, especially, has been amazing throughout and has gone above and beyond on many occasions. Nothing has been too much trouble and his breadth of knowledge, understanding and good humour has been a joy. We've waited a few years to write this review so that we can speak fully from experience of both the caravan and the company. The Sunseeker Flare has been everything we wanted and more, we've loved every minute of owning it and we're looking forward to many more holidays in it. We wholeheartedly recommend it and most importantly, buying from Freedom Stafford - huge thanks to Jim, Maciej and all!!

September 2023 It's now 12 months on since we first met Jim Kerr. We both still love our 2020 Twinsport And even though the warranty is finished, Jim Kerr is as ever, there with any technical support. Thanks you saved my skin today Martin Kitchin ---------------------------------------:: August 2923 Well worth traveling from North Cheshire to Freedom Stafford. Negotiations with Jim Kerr were straightforward and totally hassle free. Once we'd agreed the sale and were home again, we had regular communications from Jim. Nothing was too much trouble. On collection day, the handover was done by colleague Majec and was absolutely first class. We've bought several caravans in the past (some new, sone not) The last for a new Sprite Alpine 4 was pretty much abysmal. By far this was the very best Would we recommend Freedom Caravans Stafford ? Yes totally Thank you Jim & Majec

Don't buy parts from this company. Ordered a new jockey wheel on the 8th July not delivered. Spoke to the company , The man responsible for posting is off ,No one else can help. Spoke to one of the Directors who promised to ring me back, but she had to go and collect her child from school. Rubbish. Don't know if i will have in time for me to go away on Friday.

Needed some more thetford green toilet sachets whilst camping nearby and they had them at better than on line store price. Also had a look at their cute little Caravans whilst waiting. Nice set up with friendly staff.

Very friendly and helpful with no high pressure selling. We brought a 3 year old caravan which is in more or less as new condition and came will loads of extras including an apparently unused awning. The handover was excellent and gave a full detailed explanation of how everything worked. Staff were happy to answer any questions I had. Over all we are very pleased with our purchase and the service we received. Thanks Freedom Stafford.
